After working as a newspaper journalist in the West Midlands,
Bill got his first big broadcasting break, presenting "That’s
Life!" on BBC1 with Esther Rantzen.
Bill Buckley went on to become a regional presenter, reporter
and topical songwriter-and-performer for BBC Breakfast Time.
He spent six years travelling the world as a reporter for
BBC1's "Holiday" Programme, to be followed years later as a
reporter on BBC Radio 4’s "Breakaway".
Bill Buckley spent many happy years as a Continuity Announcer
for Channel 5, has starred in ten pantomines and wrote the hit
song, "Starting Together" sung by Hi-de-Hi star, Su Pollard.
His radio experience includes BBC Radio London, BBC Radio
Solent, BBC Radio Leicester, South Coast Radio, LBC Newstalk 1152, BBC Radio Berkshire, Lite AM in Manchester, BBC Southern Counties Radio and LBC 97.3.
Bill loves to act and sing, and is proud to be a member of the
prestigious Guild of Food Writers.
