UK TV and Radio Voice Over, BigFish Media was formed in 2004 by BBC Radio 2 Newsreader and Professional voice-over artist Ricky Salmon and BBC TV Continuity Announcer Phil Vowels. Ricky Salmon has experience of voicing corporate and training videos, radio commercials and trailers, "on hold" telephone messages, IVR(voice prompts) and webpages. He is also a television continuity announcer for PLUS and a radio continuity announcer for World Radio Network. Phil Vowels is a Continuity Announcer for both BBC1 and BBC2 Television. He is an experienced BBC radio presenter, having presented and produced programmes for BBC Southern Counties Radio, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Solent and a late night phone-in programme heard on all BBC radio stations across the South West of England.

Phil Vowels

Phil VowelsYou may not be familiar with the name but you will recognise his voice: Phil Vowels has been a continuity announcer since 1997, introducing the programmes on both BBC1 and BBC2.

You can also hear Phil presenting a music shows on  Play 2 on Sunday afternoons from 12-4pm. Phil is also the music manager for Play Love. You can hear both on the Play Radio website.    

He has also voiced for Canon, Oasis FM, Uckfield FM and Dawn Media and has been a Continuity Announcer for BBC Knowledge (now BBC4).

Phil has been working in the radio and television industry since graduating from Southampton University in 1995. He is experienced in BBC local radio, having presented and produced programmes for BBC Southern Counties Radio, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Solent and a late night phone-in programme heard on all of the BBC radio stations across the South West of England. 

Phil has also starred on screen in a Continuity Announcers' special of the BBC2 show "Ready Steady Cook". You can see a couple of pictures in the "BigFish Media Photos" section.
